Overview

Responsible for maintaining sufficient inventory of critical spare parts. Maintenance and continuous improvement of the CMMS system (eMaint). Work closely with Engineering and Maintenance to ensure correct parts are available for projects and daily operations. Receive shipments and add parts to inventory. Generate reports as needed for purchasing, inventory management, and related KPI reporting.

Qualifications

EDUCATION, CERTIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • 5 years of CMMS/eMaint experience preferred.
  • 5 years of maintenance experience.

 

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Computer skills (Microsoft Office, SAP, EMaint, Concur, MRP, UKG, etc.).
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize projects for oneself and the team.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must be able to work extended hours as needed.
  • Ability to negotiate with vendors for favorable pricing.
  • Strong teamwork abilities.
  • Ability to maintain effective communication with all levels of the organizational structure across all departments.

Working Conditions / Physical Requirements

WORKING CONDITIONS:

Fast paced food processing maintenance environment working both indoors and outdoors in various temperatures. This position may perform activities in an environment that contains hazardous elements and requires safety awareness and adherence to all safety policies and guidelines.  Work must be performed in a safe manner for personal protection and for the protection of other team members. All safety procedures, procedures described in SOPs, BPRs, and support the compliance of applicable ISO standards in all functional areas must be followed, enforced, and strictly complied with. Must be willing to assist in maintenance functions during times of critical downtime / shut down situations.

 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Sitting, standing, walking, repetitive use of hands/arms/legs, and eye/hand coordination for 6+ hours a day.
  • Occasional bending, reaching overhead, crouching, balancing, pushing or pulling.
  • Frequent lifting of 50 lbs. or less, occasional need to lift up to 75 lbs.
  • Ability to operate cars, trucks, forklifts and other powered equipment and tools.
  • Ability to wear all required PPE.

Responsibilities

 

  • Support a comprehensive maintenance and reliability department of resources (electrical, instrumentation, mechanical, construction, project management, technical expertise, etc.)
  • Communicate between departments (Production, Engineering, SER, 3rd parties, Utilities, etc.) to determine feasibility, prioritization, and requirements to meet goals.
  • Assist with the initial implementation of eMaint X5 CMMS regarding spare parts data input, cataloging, and barcoding.
  • Coordinate with external vendors/contractors when necessary, regarding equipment upgrades, new technology, and project work.
  • Assist with research and planning for long term reliability goals.
  • Participate in long-term and short-term planning for the maintenance department.
  • Responsible for maintaining equipment digital manuals on the server for all to access.
  • Daily inventory transactions, including shipping, adjustments, and receipt of shipments.
  • Assist maintenance staff with locating parts and returning parts as needed.
  • Continuously improves inventory processes by leveraging best practices and eliminating waste.
  • Monitors and suggests actions to minimize slow moving and obsolete inventory & inventory losses.
  • Periodic physical inventory count and report.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Salary Range

$27.50 - $33.85
