Overview

As Maintenance Supervisor you would oversee the maintenance team’s day-to-day activities to ensure that equipment and facilities are kept in good working order. 

Qualifications

EDUCATION, CERTIFICATIONS, AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or similar field required.
  • At least 3 years of relevant experience.
  • Experience with maintenance work development, planning, and scheduling.
  • Experience with a CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System).
  • Project management experience.
  • Demonstrated experience in building a high-performance work culture and systems.
  • Experience developing and maintaining a budget.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

  • Strong general knowledge of industrial equipment and processes.
  • Skilled in operating industrial processing machines, and maintenance tools and equipment.
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize projects.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must be willing to work extra hours and assist with maintenance tasks as needed.
  • Strong leadership, teamwork, conflict resolution, and motivational abilities.
  • Ability to maintain effective communication with all levels of employees and management.
  • Manage team members on both day and night shifts.
  • Demonstrated ability leading a team, coaching, and developing team members to deliver business needs where employee safety receives top priority, followed closely by product quality and productivity.
  • Strong technical and mechanical ability, including problem solving and troubleshooting capabilities.
  • Demonstrated priority setting and problem solving.

Working Conditions / Physical Requirements

WORKING CONDITIONS:

 

Fast paced bio-processing manufacturing environment working both in a plant and office setting. May perform activities in an environment containing hazardous elements and requiring safety awareness and adherence to all safety policies and guidelines. Work must be performed in a safe manner for personal protection and for the protection of other team members. All safety, environmental and quality procedures (SOPs, JHAs, and ISO standards) in all functional areas must be strictly complied with.

 

 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Work must be performed in a safe manner for personal protection and for the protection of other team members.
  • All safety procedures, procedures described in SOPs, BPRs, and support the compliance of applicable ISO standards in all functional areas must be followed, enforced, and strictly complied with.
  • Sitting, standing, walking, repetitive use of hands/arms/legs, and eye/hand coordination for 8+ hours a day.
  • Occasional bending, reaching overhead, crouching, balancing, pushing, or pulling.
  • Occasional need to lift up to 75 lbs.
  • Ability to operate cars, trucks, forklifts and other powered equipment and tools.
  • Must be able to wear all PPE that is required.
  • Must be able to access all areas of the plant.

Responsibilities

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Organize and delegate daily plant maintenance needs on both day and night shifts.
  • Assist with long-term and short-term planning for the maintenance department.
  • Use problem solving skills and root cause analysis to resolve and/or mitigate maintenance issues.
  • Responsible for managing team schedule, time off requests, payroll approval, performance. evaluations, disciplinary actions, training needs.
  • Understand end to end process flow and equipment capabilities.
  • Enforce conformance to safety requirements, standard operating procedures, and all company policies.
  • Maintain clean, organized, and safe working environment.
  • Will perform duties of all positions within the Maintenance Department.
  • Make decisions regarding Maintenance when needed.
  • Support all company initiatives and goals as assigned.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Salary Range

$76,449 per year - $96,304 per year
