Overview

The Supply Chain Specialist (SCS) has broad ranging responsibilities in all aspects of Supply Chain operations and is responsible for ensuring that the day-to-day supply chain business results are achieved. This role combines analysis and reporting along with hands-on application within each of the departments in Supply Chain to ensure excellence in the overall performance of the operations. The position provides backup and support to key positions within the Supply Chain team.  This position will support Supply Chain Manager on all day-to-day operations where required. As MTG continues to change, this position will be a key position to influence business process and change into our new ERP project.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree (preferred)
  • 1 year supply chain experience
  • Strong ERP experience 
  • Computer knowledge (Microsoft Office, ERP)
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize projects  
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills
  • Working knowledge of ERP Systems
  • Working process knowledge of supply chain operations and order to cash processes
  • Working knowledge of inventory management
  • Understanding of master data and impact on inbound/outbound procedures
  • Ability to work independently and effectively on a team
  • Able to build relationships across all organizational lines
  • Able to develop and maintain awareness of occupational hazards and safety precautions

Working Conditions / Physical Requirements

  • Mostly office, sometimes in manufacturing environment that is hot and humid
  • Fast paced manufacturing environment working both in office and plant settings.
  • May perform activities in an environment containing hazardous elements and requiring safety awareness and adherence to all safety policies and guidelines
  • Work must be performed in a safe manner for personal protection and for the protection of other team members
  • All safety procedures, procedures described in SOPs, BPRs, and support the compliance of applicable ISO standards in all functional areas must be followed, enforced, and strictly complied with
  • On site attendance required 5 days a week
  • Sitting, standing, walking, repetitive use of hands/arms/legs, and eye/hand coordination for 6+ hours a day
  • Occasional bending, reaching overhead, crouching, balancing, pushing, or pulling
  • Occasional need to lift > 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

 

  • Creating documentation and process flows around all supply chain standard operations and enhancements
  • Create and maintain Material, Supplier, Warehouse and Customer data in a manufacturing environment
  • Continuously confirm and validate data to ensure adherence to technical and business rules, naming conventions, abbreviations, etc.
  • Optimize production planning processes, assist with production scheduling
  • Review and analyze production plan for multiple facilities
  • Determine max capacities and efficiencies in production planning
  • Liaison with IT on behalf of supply chain team on projects
  • Rationalize SKU information and maintenance of information in ERP system
  • Measure forecast accuracy against production and sales
  • Report and action monthly on excess and obsolete inventory
  • Provides business with ad hoc reporting as directed
  • Collaborate with all functions to continually improve processes
  • ERP superuser of associated supply chain processes including all inventory processes
  • Communicate tasks and requirements within teams, regularly document activity and results, and communicate key issues and progress to management
  • Works with department leads to understand rules and data setup for new requirements due to system enhancements, process improvements, and/or business rule changes
  • Assist with purchasing and procurement as needed
  • Obtain broad knowledge of supply chain team and management to provide relief and backfill when needed
  • Other duties as assigned

Salary Range

$57,200 per year - $70,500 per year
