Overview

Assists the Internal Audit team in the design and implementation of audit processes, procedures and methodologies.  Responsible for planning and performing financial, operational, compliance, and IT audits throughout the Ajinomoto Group affiliates in North America including analytical review of data; evaluation of internal controls; identifying opportunities to improve operational efficiency; and making recommendations to enhance business processes.

Qualifications

EDUCATION, CERTIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:  

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong ethical principles and a commitment to professional integrity.
  • Prior internship or relevant work experience in auditing or a related field (preferred, but not required).
  • Knowledge of accounting principles (preferred, but not required).
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., CIA, CPA) are a plus.

 

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Experience with SAP or similar Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems preferred.
  • Experience with data analysis software including Microsoft PowerBi is a plus.
  • Prior international business experience with second language skills in Japanese is a plus.
  • Ability to learn ServiceNow Integrated Risk Management

Working Conditions / Physical Requirements

WORKING CONDITIONS: This role works in a medical food manufacturing environment and therefore, is required to adhere to all GMP, Food Safety, workplace safety and security policies including wearing required personal protective equipment, as well hair net, beard net, etc. as required.  This position will also work in an office environment for the completion of documentation duties.

 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Position requires the ability to lift to 25 pounds occasionally, stand on concrete floors, or be in a seated position for multiple hours.  Ability to use a computer, keyboard, telephone, and other office related equipment, camera, and video equipment.



Responsibilities

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist in all phases of the audit process, including planning, fieldwork, and reporting.
  • Conduct risk assessments and identify key controls.
  • Perform testing procedures, analyze data, and document findings.
  • Prepare clear, concise, and well-supported audit reports.
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of audit work papers.
  • Maintain strong working relationships with auditees.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of audit programs.
  • Stay abreast of industry best practices, regulatory changes, and emerging risks.
  • Support special projects and ad-hoc requests as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Salary Range

We have budgeted $25/hr for this role.
