Support the members of the Legal Dept and our broader strategic goals
EDUCATION, CERTIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
• At least 10 years of relevant law firm and/or in-house experience.
• Paralegal experience is a plus.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
• Highly motivated, meticulous, efficient, organized, and laser-focused on the details and applying best practices.
• Self-starter and motivated to work independently but know when to reach out.
• Highly proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PPT), DocuSign, and related products.
• Able to juggle multiple projects and deadlines with little to no supervision.
• Excellent judgment and demonstrated discretion handling confidential information.
• Exceptional writing, interpersonal, and communication skills.
• Great team player who wants to work hard, but is always kind, patient, and professional.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
Remote is OK, but ability and willingness to travel (not more than approximately twice per year). Administrative offices available in select cities (Ontario, CA; Itasca, IL; San Diego, CA; Portland, OR; Raleigh, NC; Columbus, OH).
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
• Ability to use email, phone, and other technology (including Microsoft applications and Adobe) to communicate effectively and professionally with others, and perform required tasks.
• Administrative Support. Review outside attorney and third-party invoices and ensure timely payment, support contract management system, and other databases and filing/reporting systems. Update and organize files, create reports and presentations for management/auditors/management.
• Team Support. Increase the Legal Dept’s visibility and engagement with business partners by taking ownership of our intranet site, support and create process flows, procedures, tools, updating templates, compiling and creating a resource library, and streamlining with a constant, proactive eye. Organize team events to improve each member and the Legal team’s overall performance and strategic value to the business.
• Business Support. Review/revise Non-Disclosure Agreements and respond to subpoenas or other requests for documents/information for various reasons.
• Litigation Support. Provide administrative support and track disputes from start to finish, issue and manage litigation holds, update reports for auditors, and assist on consumer claims.
• Other duties as assigned by members of the Legal Dept.
