Manage the daily IT operations of the Akron Plant and maintain and diagnose end user computer hardware, software, and business applications. Responsible for the maintenance and support of the network and server systems at the Ajinomoto Health and Nutrition Akron Plant, under the supervisor of the corporate IT team.
EDUCATION, CERTIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
Associate of Applied Science (AAS) in Computer Science, IT, or related field experience.
5+ years of experience in computer systems administration or related field.
Experience in installing and maintaining computers, servers, and network systems.
3+ years of experience as network administrator, with skills in configuring and supporting computers, servers, and networking systems.
Experience in Microsoft Entra ID, Intune, and Azure.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Understanding of internet security and data privacy principles.
Proficiency with various types of hardware, including routers, switches, and other essential equipment.
Knowledge of computer, server, and networking systems.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Effective written and verbal communication skills.
Excellent interpersonal and leadership abilities.
WORKING CONDITIONS
General office environment. Work must be performed in a safe manner for personal protection and for the protection of other team members. All safety procedures described in SOPs and the compliance of applicable ISO & Cybersecurity standards in all functional areas must be followed, enforced, and strictly complied with.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Position requires the ability to sit for a minimum of 6 hours per day; standing, walking, bending over and reaching above head for less than an hour a day; lifting or carrying up to 10 pounds occasionally and repetitive use of hands/arms for writing and computer work. Occasional travel may be required.
• Monitoring, analyzing, and troubleshooting network performance issues.
• Implementing and upgrading network equipment in collaboration with vendors.
• Assisting in overseeing helpdesk activities locally.
• Managing vSphere for server administration.
• Installing and setting up end user hardware and software.
• Ensuring all systems' hardware, firmware, and software are updated.
• Troubleshooting and diagnosing hardware, software, and connectivity issues both hands-on and remotely.
• Maintaining and administering communication systems such as telephony and videoconferencing.
• Training new hires on computer equipment, MIS-controlled software, and local and corporate MIS policies.
• Administering and maintaining the server and network infrastructure at Ajinomoto North America and its supported affiliates, including servers, firewalls, switches, and other network equipment.
• Administration of Entra ID, profiles, and policies.
• Administration of Intune profiles and policies.
• Server management for the Akron location.
• Ensuring compliance with information security policies and guidelines locally.
• Monitoring, analyzing, and troubleshooting network performance issues.
• Developing and installing systems, both software and hardware.
• Supporting the development and maintenance of policies, procedures, and security protocols.
• Ensuring network equipment and servers are updated.
• Collaborating with corporate IT team to ensure compliance with corporate networking standards.
• Administering and maintaining security and access control hardware, software, and related camera systems at the Akron Plant.
• Ensuring proper operation of facility cameras, security systems, and access control systems.
• Retaining video data according to corporate policies.
• Assisting in security or safety incident investigations by providing video evidence.
• Troubleshooting, diagnosing, and resolving problems with security and access control systems.
• Keeping systems updated by patching and updating components of the system.
• Other relevant duties as assigned and properly trained to perform.
