Overview

The Sr. Engineer Digital Transformation drives strategic initiatives that align digital capabilities with business goals. This role will help the organization transition from traditional methods to digital processes, optimizing digital ecosystems and ensuring scalable infrastructure to support global expansion. As a highly motivated leader and strategist, this person will act as a cross-functional consultant and liaison between internal teams and external partners, delivering best-in-class customer experience. 

Qualifications

EDUCATION, CERTIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
• Bachelor’s degree Computer Science, Software Engineering, or similar technical degree (e.g. Engineering or IT) 
• 6+ years’ experience in digital strategy, customer experience, or business operations; experience food and beverage, medical device, medical nutrition industry preferred.
• Proven experience leveraging digital technologies to improve efficiency, streamline operations, and foster innovation across various disciplines.
• Experience writing Python code – Leverage Pandas/NumPy and other data packages
• Demonstrated strategic experience managing vendor/client relationships

 

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
• Strategic thinker with strong analytical and process-oriented mindset
• Experience in creating business cases and ROI analysis
• Proven ability to design, develop and debug software solutions, understanding and writing code when necessary.
• Ability to implement technical solutions that may include writing software code to support the developer team.
• Ability to manage cross-functional initiatives and influence stakeholders
• Ability to architect technical solutions and lead MVP (minimum viable products) through initial build stages.
• Familiarity with digital health trends and consumer behaviorAssist in staff training and development to drive digital literacy within the organization

Working Conditions / Physical Requirements

WORKING CONDITIONS:
Office Environment; Hybrid 3 days per week in Ayer, MA, Corporate Office. 

 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
• Ability to operate computers
• Ability to be in a seated position 6 to 8 hours a day
• Ability to operate standard office equipment 
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs. on occasion
• Ability to bend, reach, stoop, walk
• Ability to use hand tools

 

Responsibilities

 

• Lead internal infrastructure projects around enterprise resource planning, order management/fulfilment, eCommerce and platform integrations.
• Develop, coach, lead software developers and/or digital transformation engineers. 
• Assist in staff training and development to drive digital literacy within the organization.
• Manage external vendor relationships, provide tactical business requirements, and see projects through launch. Include working outside of traditional business hours to meet with offshore development team
• Provide scalable, repeatable, and automated business analysis across functional areas
• Deliver vendor analysis and recommendations across the technology and data partner stack (ERP, MES, CMMS, B2B/B2C eCommerce partners, advertising, personalization, and related technology/data vendors)
• Comfortable creating business cases for transforming with supporting ROI analysis
• "Internal Consultant" - Take end-to-end business knowledge and provide recommendations across cross-functional teams. Mobility across teams is key to "fix" gaps where systems and procedures do not exist.
• Works in conjunction with Financial Reporting/Data Analyst and Inventory Analyst to develop analytical reports and solutions to reconcile inventory across platforms – allowing resources to reinvest their time. Develop scripts for cleaning, aggregating, and pivoting data from various financial sources. Generate ad hoc profitability or production reports for the Commercial and Operations team
• Data Engineer/Analyst - Write and maintain python scripts to transform manual procedures into automated tasks. Examples include data aggregation into central database sources ("Data Lake"), API calls to SharePoint Lists and automate notifications to internal team members. Identify optimized workflows to improve end-to-end flows in Customer Service, Operations, and Financial. Create, define and implement Master Data naming convention, to align and connect across all digital platforms
• Website Editor – Develop solutions and strategy for maintaining 10 different company websites across multiple countries. Manage domain and DNS hosting, website analytics and tracking (GDPR and CCP).
• Tech Business Analyst + IT Engineer - Take business requirements and translate it into software development conditions for offshore engineers, both strategic and tactical requirements. Maintain documentation on internal server infrastructure. Collaborate with IT and Help Desk vendors to ensure business continuity and future scalability

Salary Range

$116,000.00 - $150,000.00 plus 18% Bonus Potential
