Responsible for supporting shipping, receiving and production.
EDUCATION, CERTIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE: High school diploma, GED or equivalent with a minimum of 2 years’ experience working in a warehouse and operating various forklifts. Minimum of 2 years' experience using inventory management software (SAP, Oracle, etc) with 1+ years’ experience using Microsoft Office Suite. Prior customer service experience and a certified forklift operator are preferred.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Ability to read, understand and follow written and oral instructions. Ability to communicate clearly and concisely with internal and external customers professionally. Basic computer and mathematical skills. Knowledge of warehouse principles and procedures to include shipping and receiving, storing materials and inventory management. Knowledge of shipping terms and reading production schedules. Ability to work a flexible schedule including overtime and weekends.
WORKING CONDITIONS: Warehouse environment working in and around moving equipment. This position may perform activities in an environment that contains hazardous elements and requires safety awareness and adherence to all safety policies and guidelines. Work must be performed safely for personal protection and for the protection of other team members. All safety procedures, procedures described in SOPs (standard operating procedures), BPRs, and support the compliance of applicable ISO standards in all functional areas must be followed, enforced, and complied with.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Position requires the ability to stand for a minimum of 3 hours per day; sit, walk, bend over, and reach above head for a minimum of an hour a day; lifting or carrying of up to seventy-five pounds occasionally and repetitive use of hands/arms for writing and computer work.
• Operate warehouse vehicles, per guidelines, to transport material accordingly
• Inspect incoming shipments of materials, equipment, and supplies for compliance with purchase order specifications
• Identify and report shortages, damaged goods, or other discrepancies
• Process inventory receipts, maintain stock inventory and participate in warehouse inventory control process
• Create transfer orders and place materials in the marked storage bins
• Compile and submit samples in accordance with cGMP
• Distribute incoming shipments according to documented procedures
• Complete all SAP transactions accurately and in a timely
• Process outbound shipments to ensure the shipment is accurate and meets the customers’ delivery requirements
• Read and follow packing list instructions
• Coordinate freight pick-up with appropriate freight companies
• Create shipping documents and labels and ensure accurate shipping information
• Find, pull, transport, and stage raw materials needed for production
• Review production schedule for raw material requirements and communicate discrepancies with the appropriate production personnel
• Create movement of material documents
• Clean and safely store crude crystal bags
• Maintain neat and complete documentation in accordance with cGMP documentation requirements
• Frequently review the SOPs for the department to stay current on procedural revisions
• Perform safety checks on forklifts, safety equipment, fire extinguishers and crude crystal bags and record results in the appropriate logbook
• Maintain a neat and orderly work area
• Email and communicate with customers, as needed
• Schedule pickups through customer portals
• Other duties as assigned
