Overview

Assists the Internal Audit team in the design and implementation of audit processes, procedures and methodologies. Responsible for planning and performing financial, operational, compliance, and IT audits throughout the Ajinomoto Group affiliates in North America including analytical review of data; evaluation of internal controls; identifying opportunities to improve operational efficiency; and making recommendations to enhance business processes.

Qualifications

EDUCATION, CERTIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong ethical principles and a commitment to professional integrity.
• Prior internship or relevant work experience in auditing or a related field (preferred, but not required).
• Knowledge of accounting principles (preferred, but not required).
• Relevant certifications (e.g., CIA, CPA) are a plus.

 

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
• Experience with SAP or similar Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems preferred.
• Experience with data analysis software including ACL and Microsoft PowerBi is a plus.
• Prior international business experience with second language skills in Japanese is a plus.
• Ability to use ServiceNow Integrated Risk Management

 

Working Conditions / Physical Requirements

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
• The position is based in the Itasca office of AHN and requires regular business trips within North America and occasional trips outside of North America.

 

Responsibilities

• Assist in all phases of the audit process, including planning, fieldwork, and reporting.
• Assist in risk assessments and identify key controls.
• Perform testing procedures, analyze data, and document findings.
• Draft clear, concise, and well-supported audit findings and provide recommendations.
• Assist in the development and maintenance of audit work papers.
• Maintain strong working relationships with auditees.
• Basic understanding of AI concepts and willingness to explore application in audit processes using AI-powered audit tools (e.g. ServiceNow Assist, Microsoft Teams)
• Assist in the development and implementation of audit programs.
• Stay abreast of industry best practices, regulatory changes, and emerging risks.
• Support special projects and ad-hoc requests as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.

Salary Range

$65,000.00 - $75,000.00
