The Corporate Tax Associate Manager is primarily tasked with the estimation, calculation, preparation, measurement, and management of the company and its affiliates' local, state, federal, l and foreign tax returns, filings, payments, and refunds so that management can continue to rely on the tax information recorded in the financial statements.
EDUCATION, CERTIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting/Finance
• Five or more years of experience in the field of tax accounting or corresponding certification.
• Public tax accounting firm experience is a plus, but not required.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
• A thorough working knowledge of the Corporate Tax code of the United States is a must.
• Extensive knowledge of US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and International Financial Reporting Standards is required.
• Ability to work independently while coordinating the efforts of multiple sources of information, while working under the pressure of deadlines.
• Strong organization, problem-solving, communication, time management, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to summarize, communicate, and present complex issues to all levels of management.
• Ability to conduct detailed research while working independently
• Ability to negotiate with the objective of minimizing outsourced costs.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
• Proficient in Microsoft Office products: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
• Knowledge of core SAP Software modules is a plus
• Experience with FAS(fixed assets software) or similar fixed asset software required
WORKING CONDITIONS:
• Occasional travel required.
• Overseas and multiple time zone communication requirements may result in unusual work hour requirements and overtime.

Monthly Closing and Financial Reporting Responsibilities
• The corporate tax associate manager estimates, calculates, and prepares month-end corporate federal and state income tax expense accruals and records corresponding journal entries into the SAP accounting system.
• The corporate tax associate manager also calculates, prepares, and records month-end Canadian GST, PST, and HST taxes in addition to filing the required returns online.
• The corporate tax associate manager will review, calculate, adjust, and record the deferred tax expense calculations into the SAP accounting system yearly.
• The corporate tax associate manager will actively maintain effective tax rate reconciliations, general ledger tax account reconciliations, and corresponding roll forwards between the company’s tax returns and accounting system.
• The corporate tax associate manager will be responsible for preparing, coordinating, and communicating any specific tax reporting requests or footnote disclosures required for the completion of the company’s monthly reporting package or reviewed financial statements.
Corporate Tax Return Preparation, Coordination, and Execution
• The corporate tax associate manager will coordinate the data collection, tax calculations (quarterly estimated and year-end actual) for federal and state tax liabilities and/or refunds, and ultimately complete the corresponding tax payments, or conversely, actively work to collect refunds receivable.
• The corporate tax associate manager will make every effort to prepare and file on-time, free from penalty, corporate federal, foreign, and state income, informational, and sales/use tax returns either online or via mail as required by law. When required, timely requests for due date extensions will be filed.
• The corporate tax associate manager initiates, registers, organizes, coordinates, maintains, and secures all income, payroll, VAT, CAT, etc., tax and business accounts for the company, along with their corresponding online logins and passwords.
• The corporate tax associate manager will be responsible for coordinating, organizing, negotiating, and resolving any income, value-added, or sales/use tax-related audits, inquiries, questionnaires, or information requests in a timely manner.
• The corporate tax associate manager will be responsible for regular open communication with the Global tax team on material issues of importance.
Tax Fixed Asset Management
• The corporate tax associate manager will coordinate the data collection necessary to then appropriately classify and record fixed assets into the tax fixed asset software.
• The corporate tax associate manager will actively maintain reconciliations between book versus tax for fixed asset basis and depreciation.
